PHOTOJOURNALISM

When I write articles, I spend a lot of time crafting the most descriptive sentences possible to help paint the picture for the readers. However, no piece of literature will ever be as descriptive as visually seeing what's happening, which is where photography comes into play. Many times, things are better shown than they are said, and when it comes to journalism, we want to be able to explain things to our readers in the simplest way possible. While I would say I'm a stronger writer than I am a photographer, I've been finding ways to improve and learn new skills through yearbook and photography.
Almost every time we have an assembly, I'm out there practicing my photography skills. In this environment, I'm able to practice shooting monition in bright lighting, which I have got better at over the years. While not every photo I take gets published, I will never turn down an opportunity to practice photography.
